- Prepare food early
You should prepare as much food as possible the day before or the night before. You don’t want to be running around trying to be the best host/hostess you can be while also trying to prepare Thanksgiving dinner as visitors arrive in your Houston apartment. Additional help is sometimes difficult to come by in smaller kitchens. Although many people will volunteer to help, there isn’t always enough room for everyone.
- Set up a drink station
To keep your guest out of the kitchen, put a drinking station somewhere out of the way where guests can easily grab a drink. You don’t want to prepare dinner while a guest is coming in and out of the kitchen just to get some drinks.
- Clean as you go
You don’t want dishes to pile up, might as well wash them after using or you can invest in disposable dinnerware and dispose of them afterwards. Also, don’t forget to set up a garbage bin nearby.
- Ask guest to bring something
If you are hosting a Thanksgiving party, do not be after to ask your guest to pitch in or bring something either just a simple snack or a drink will do. Some ask what they can bring but don’t be afraid to ask if they don’t offer
- Rearrange the furniture
Rearrange the furniture in a way where you can maximize yung apartment space and create a space where guests can be entertained, games can be played, and conversations can be had. Because people tend to congregate in groups, provide more seating for your visitors. Having a comfortable space for your guests to sit shows your hosting skills are some of the best!
- Manage the guest list
Knowing how much space you have will also assist you in managing your guest list. Although it would be ideal to be able to invite every member of your family, friend, and neighbor, you must consider the amount of room available. Invite the necessities first, and then, if space permits, extend invitations from there.
Hosting a Thanksgiving party can be a stress sometimes but do not forget to be grateful on every occasion and enjoy the party!
